The Book of Bingo Dawg: Chapter Jaco's Corner

I've always wanted to share the story of the Bingo Dawgs. Perhaps from time to time, I could drop enough lines here to publish a book, play, or short film. Why? the Bingo Dawgs? Who are the Bingo Dawgs? What is unique about the story?

Ahh...forget it. The Dawgs were a motley crew of Native men who were employed by a traveling bingo amusement company which operated through many fairs and exhibitions throughout Canada and United States. The Dawgs often called the bingo tent the only traveling indian reservation on North America. The Canadian portion of the operation took place in a huge Big Top Tent which was converted from an old 1930's Bumper Car ride.

For many small town boys the dream to run away with the carnival never comes to fruition. For me it did. Let's call the experience the "Poor Man's Jet Set Lifestyle". If the annual combined attendance of each of the fairs totaled 5 million, then my 8 seasons spent in the Bingo tent as a Bingo Caller yields a "One in a Million" story forty times over. Some good. Some bad. Some completely insane. Which is why I feel I have to write about it.

Should this story continue? Legally it can't huh?. Because it is based on true events and people in the story haven't signed any permission to use their part in the story. How do you go about that? Oh Google! Where art thou?
